
Aathi Parasakthi is a 1971 Tamil Indian feature movie directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan and produced by Chitra Productions.
It stars Gemini Ganesan and Jayalalithaa in the lead roles and with Padmini, Vanisree and Muthuraman in supporting riles. Music is by KV Mahadevan.
Mythology states that the world was formed when the sound “Aum” started reverberating. The form that arose out of this sound was Aathi Parasakthi. From her came Brahma (The Creator), Vishnu (The Protector) and Siva (The Destroyer). From her own self she made Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati.
