Engirundho Vandhaal is a 1970 Indian Tamil film, directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar and produced by K. Balaji. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, K. Balaji and Nagesh in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan. The film was a remake of the Telugu film Punarjanma. Tamil version along with Hindi, had Sanjeev Kumar and Mumtaz and was titled as Khilona were simultaneously made. The film was silver jubilee hit. The film was released on 29 October 1970 released alongside another Sivaji Ganesan starrer Sorgam. It went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Film.
At the request of a wealthy man, a courtesan agrees to help heal his mentally disturbed son by pretending to be his wife. Her efforts only earn her abuse and wrath at the hands of most family members.
