Pattikada Pattanama (Eng: Village or Town?) is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film produced and directed by P. Madhavan and written by Bala Murugan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Jayalalithaa.
Pattikada Pattanama is based on the William Shakespeare comedy The Taming of the Shrew. It was released on 6 May 1972. The film was commercially successful, running for over 175 days in theatres, thereby becoming a silver jubilee film.
