Velayudham is a 2011 Indian Tamil action masala film written and directed by M. Raja. It stars Vijay in the title role, alongside Genelia D’Souza as the female lead with Hansika Motwani, Abhimanyu Singh, Saranya Mohan and Santhanam in supporting roles.
The film revolves around a villager who arrives in the city to collect money, is forced to take upon the disguise of superhero and starts to eradicate the evils that pertains within the society such as corruption, prostitution, terrorism etc.
