Vellore Maavattam (Eng: Vellore District) is a 2011 Indian Tamil action film written and directed by R. N. R. Manohar, starring Nandha and Poorna.
Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film released on 6 October 2011 on the occasion of the festival of Ayudha Pooja.
Nandha dons a khakhi for the first time and plays a rough tough cop in the film. At a time when filmmakers go around Madurai and its interior villages, director RNR Manohar of ‘Masilamani’ fame has chosen Vellore as the movie’s backdrop and has used its geographical locations well to deliver a slick entertainer.
